“I want to show everyone that we are all capable of doing anything we put our hearts and minds to and, also, to raise money for the 5 amazing causes described below.” Marcelo Claure
Marcelo’s daughter Paulina is so passionate about animals, and WonderPaws works tirelessly to help pets in crisis. We want to help by providing funds for medical needs, food, supplies and placing abandoned pets in loving homes. Read more here.
It’s amazing that we’ve seen a shift in our society towards sustainability and conservation, but we need to do more. Debris Free Oceans, which Marcelo’s daughter Siena has a special connection to, is working to protect South Florida’s waters through education, clean-up and more. Read more here.
On October 26, 2013, Javier and Marie Cecile Pineda lost their Baby Lucas to a rare congenital heart disease, and, ever since, their mission has been to provide resources for families undergoing similar circumstances. Javier is on our team, and we are running to give more children at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital a fighting chance at life. Read more here.
After Marcelo’s mother died of cancer in 2010, he became a relentless supporter of cancer research and of different efforts to help find a cure. The cutting edge research and treatments focused on pediatric cancers at St. Jude Children’s Hospital are saving lives every day. Read more here.
Reporters Without Borders serves to protect journalists in the toughest front lines around the world. Meredith Levien, COO of The New York Times, is on our team and through her we have a renewed perspective on why we need to fight harder than ever to protect our freedom of the press. Read more here.
We are asking you to support us and donate alongside us. No amount is too big or too small. You are on this page already, don’t let your fingers slip! Funds are being funneled through the Marta Bedoya de Claure Foundation and, from there, the total raised will be divided among the selected charities.
Open your heart and your wallet, it’s all for a good cause! The more you give, the faster we will run!
